Adam Gorczyński, PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Faculty of Chemistry at Adam Mickiewicz University since 2017. He earned his degree by defending a doctoral dissertation titled „New Self-Organizing Metallosupramolecular Networks,” which was distinguished and honored with the Prime Minister’s Award in 2018. He completed his postdoctoral training in the group of Prof. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski (Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA), where he focused on the development of living polymerization techniques, particularly Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization. Dr. Gorczyński’s scientific interests include the design and synthesis of advanced multifunctional materials, in the context of their potential applications in fields such as materials engineering, electrochemistry, biology, and catalysis. He is committed to the vision of integrating various fields of chemistry towards discovering new materials with unprecedented properties. For his distinguished scientific achievements, he has been honored with awards such as the MEiN scholarship for outstanding young scientists, the START scholarship, and the Fulbright Senior Award. In addition to his passion for chemistry, Dr. Gorczyński is interested in strength sports and never turns down a good book.
